As a lover of literature, we were lucky enough to stop by Mad Red Books during their soft opening. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help you find anything you need. I was met with several book recommendations just from mentioning other books that I enjoyed.

So glad we have another local bookshop! This place kept popping up on Threads and Instagram before their opening, so I made a mental note to check it out once open. Since it was no longer opening weekend, I decided to go! First, it's between my favorite ice cream spot and my favorite popcorn spot, so it just feels right. Second, it definitely isn't huge, but it is a pretty good size. Many of the shelves aren't filled yet, but to me, that felt nice because I didn't have to scan through as many books, I love bookshops but things like that kind of overwhelm me and make it hard to choose. They have a lot of nice art in there that is also for sale which is pretty cool. It looks like they support other small artists by selling their stickers (of course I got one), crochet, and drawings.

Stopped in to celebrate the grand opening today, and it was busy — but in the absolute best way. It was wonderful to see so many fellow book lovers exploring the shelves.

I really liked the dedicated horror section, though I hope it expands over time. It’s great to see a store catering to niche genres. Overall, a solid bookstore with a growing collection and great prices. I'll be back!

Cool and laid-back, this little shop is packed with awesome books and some related items. Its got a small reading area but most of the space is dedicated to new and used books from a wide variety of genres.
